All cars sold in the US Manufactured after 1972 are required to have a seat belt warning sytetm. I think my 2000 Boxster falls into that catagory.

When I start up I do not see any indication of a seat belt warning light on the dash and I do not get any buzzing (telling me to put on my seatbelt)

Is there a relay/fuse I should check out? Is there a icon (picture) on the dash to warn the driver to put on his belt? Thanks

You can see the warning light in this picture from my 2000 S on the lower right. I don't happen to have the fuse list handy but it should be listed in the foldout that's in the fuse panel area.

Attached is a photo of my idiot lights. It is looking like my seatbelt warning light is missing. I should check fuses. Something is definately wrong with the system

If you don't put your seat belt on and turn on the key do you hear the chime warning? If not, then defintiely check the fuses. OTOH - if you hear the chime then it's likely you simply have a burned out bulb.

Sit in Car. DO NOT PUT ON BELT. Start Car, Drive a few feet. No Idiot Light, No Buzzer.

I looked in the fuse box but I cannot find which fuse belongs to the seatbelt system. And I cannot figure out which one is the relay.

Does anyone know if there is a fuse and which relay is for the seatbelt warning system.

Thanks

No one seems to know the location of the seat belt relay. Does anyone know where I may be able to find out that info. (Already checked the other forums)

Thanks
