until age 53 to buy a Boxster? I feel sad about it.

When I took my family on our first cruise like 10 or 11 years ago, I asked myself why I had waited until age 42 or so to take a cruise, we had such a wonderful time. We repeated the cruise thing four five more times. If you haven't cruised the Carribean, you don't know what you are missing.

I have really enjoyed my Boxster. I had her going 110 the other day on I-80 and it just rode smooth as silk. I feel young again. I felt invigorated. I wondered why I had bothered with all the Miatas and MR2 Spyders.

Thanks for lending your ear, err.... eyes.

Oh come on now,Miatas are nice little cars.(No I'm not kidding,im considering a older one as my daily driver)

Why did I wait until I was 49 to get a Porsche? Because until now I couldn't afford one. As for the Carribean, I have been going there since '92. Recently my wife and I have been going to Belize for the last couple years to flyfish for Bonefish and Permit. We love it there so much that I believe it will become an annual event.

I'm all about the Miata as a nice daily driver but, there's no power. If you want a nice, little convertible, yeah, get one. Run well. Easy on the money clip. Just don't try passing on a slight incline.

Belize - never been there but have heard many talk of the place. I've got a buddy that has spoken of buying a place there.

We loved Grand Cayman. Try the South Carribean cruize out of San Juan. Yeah, San Juan stinks but the ship ports are fabulous.

I guess I shouldn't feel too bad...

I just bought my first Porsche (2003 Boxster) at 48...

Not new mind you, but new to me, so far I have only put an additional 260 km's since I bought it last wekk.

PS, the Carribean is nice, been there a few times, thinking of Cuba this fall.

I picked up my new-to-me Boxster at 42. Best decision I've ever made!:)

I just got back from Puerto Vallarta - they have quite a variety of wild life... my daughter met these six week old tiger cubs hanging out behind the counter at the Pro Shop. You'd never see that in the good ole USofA! :D

She's definitely a roadster girl, not quite sure what to make of the Cayman. ;)

I hear Belize is beautiful!

Why did I wait...

"I feel your pain" as someone once said. I spent many years with Brit cars and bikes and at about 53 I too, had such a calling. Drove a 996 and that was it. I had always found Porsches to be very interesting but never quite got there. Now I'm on my second one thinking, Dang, I coulda had a flat six! Or four... I'm just glad I made the move!
