Some of you have seen my car in person before. I thought about selling it before, but I changed my mind because I liked this car too much. However, something happened (to another car) and now, as much as I want to keep it, I _HAVE_ to sell my beloved Boxster.

From what I've heard, of all the Boxsters produced from 1997 to the present, only 14 were made in Blue Turquoise. This Boxster has one of the hardest to find color combinations with black interior and matching leather and aluminum e-brake, shift knob, aluminum rollbars and stainless steel door sill cover that says "Boxster". The Boxster is beautiful car to drive, experience and look at.

Below are the facts:

1997 Porsche Boxster 986
Color (exterior): Blue Turquoise
Color (interior): Black

Specifications:
- 2.5L 6 Cyl.
- 5-speed manual
- 85k Miles
- Clean Title
- Black leather Seats
- Sports Package
- 17" Optional Porsche Wheels w/New Tires (Twist/Boxster Design)
- Wheel caps with colored Porsche Crest
- On-Board Computer(Outside Temperature, Average MPG, Miles to go before fillup, and speed set alarm)
- Hi-Fi Sound System 6 Speakers, Amplifier, Multi-Channel loudspeaker system with base reflex boxes in doors, and 6-CD changer in the trunk
- Auto Climate Control/AC
- Cruise Control
- Anti-Theft System -- keyless entry, remote controlled trunk release
- 4 Spoke Airbag Steering Wheel covered with leather(Color of interior)
- Safety Driver and Passenger Airbag
- New Black Top
- Kept in the garage

All major maintenance done including:
- 90K miles service
- new air/cabin filter and fuel filter
- new spark plugs, new belt and new water pump
- all new brakes/rotors and 4 new tires and new alignment (last 3k miles)
- new MAF sensor
- Oil changed recently, so no maintenance for another 15k miles!!!

Optional goodies I may include:
- Porsche OEM LITRONIC (XENON/HID) HEADLIGHTS
- OEM Clear front lenses and side markers
- OEM newer style (Red/Clear) taillights
- Extra set of 17" Boxster S Rims with almost new condition Michelin tires

Make your offers. Thanks.

How much did your car sell for or is it still for sell? I have a 2002 boxster that is the same color as yours and have never seen one in person or online except for a Topgear video. I dont know if this is an extremely rare color or what? I went by a dealership and all they told me was that they have never seen one before in that color and....said it must be a test color. ??

Still for Sale?

I used to have a '97 Turquoise Blue Boxster and found out it was very rare. Is yours still for sale? What price are you wanting? Please contact me at mscomputers@msn.com.
Thanks,
Mike

I still have it. The more time that I wait to sell my Boxster, the more I want to keep it and sell my other car. (BMW 7-series e38 anyone? Only 85k miles! :D )
How did you get this color in 2002? Supposedly it's supposed to be only available in 1997. Do you have pictures? If it's the same color, then you are a lucky man. I chose this one mainly because I liked the color so much. If I could have the best of both worlds, I would have wanted a 2000+ Boxster in the same color... maybe even an S model!

I bought it at a used car dealership. I didnt know the color was rare.

Nice ride Orion20007! I don't know, maybe its the camera lighting or I'm color blind, your Boxster looks a little lighter in color.

Each day that passes, is another day for me to think of ways to keep my Boxster. :D

Here's a pic from my super-mini-cruise along the coast of San Francisco.

Mike - I sent an email to you. The guy who bought it from you must have been thrilled!

Thank you. I think your right....it may be a little lighter. I bought a Pontiac Solstice...and started having problems with the Limited Slip Diff. I saw this car at the Pontiac dealership while I was getting the Solstice worked on. I took it for a test drive and had to have it. I gave up the Solstice and have not thought about it since. I love this car way more....and actually paid less for it than then Solstice.

Bump... taking any reasonable offers. Let's say $14,900.

I had the car inspected by a Porsche Mechanic. :)
... and it made me want to keep a perfectly good car for a bit longer... hhmmmm ;) :D

I think I'm keeping the car, unless someone convinces me to sell it to him/her. Yay! :D
