Hi fine people,

I just bought a BOSE rear speaker unit (the one with the subwoofer) on eBay :)
To give the Bose box all the umph it needs, I am planning to replace the existing (Nokia) amp with a 4 or 6 channel amp from Crutchfield.
Meaning I need to make new cables etc.
Does anyone know where I can get the plug which goes into "yellow" socket at the back of the CDR-220?

Is this a VW part?

Thanks

Actually, it might be easier to get a pin extracting tool and reuse your existing. The tool would also come in handy during the rest of your install - especially at the amp. In mine, the harness barely reached the amp. Knowing you'll be cutting off the original connectors to hook up to your new amp, you might end up short and have to run new wires. Otherwise, call becker part in NJ and tell them what you need. Make sure you order everything you want/need at the same time as I think they had something like a $5-10 "small package handling fee" on top of shipping. Their parts prices are fine, but when you add $10 to a $15 part, it seems a little excessive. Good luck w/ your install and post some pic's once you complete the upgrades!

I would suggest, you use the factory harness and then at the amp, the thin wires are the line input from the head unit. cut it there and use those to go into the line input of the new amp. Most amps now have the line input besides the rca jacks. If you really want to maximized the best sound. I would suggest getting the JL audio clean sweep. What this unit does is allow you to use factory head units while running after market amps. (it goes in between).
