Out of pure, 100% stupidity I just dropped my windstop and broke off the itsy bitsy tiny plastic "nose" on the windstop (not the part which sits on the rollbar but the plastic thing on the windstop itself.) :(

Is there any way to repair this myself, without buying a new one?
Can I buy the frame without the glass?

Any help/pointers appreciated

Are you talking about the little lever part? If so it's a pretty easy (and inexpensive) DIY repair.

Hi Tom,

as they say a picture speaks a thousand words, I have attached a snap.

Thanks for your help

Update: I just stopped at Stevens Creek Porsche and - yes - they have a spare part for it - with $5.04 probably the cheapest Porsche spare part I'll ever buy

I guess I just pull the old one straight out - or is there a trick?

Thanks again
Christopher

Fortunately, it's too small to fit a Porsche logo on it, therefore reducing the retail price by 98%! ;)

It's probably made by Audi. :D

I've never had to work on that bit as I've always broken the part attached to the rollbar

If it's the lever that you are replacing I seem to recall that there's a small retaining pin that needs to be pushed out to remove the broken one and reused to install the new one. You might want to check over on renntech.org as well as it may be documented over there.

fixed :D

it was a bit of a pain to get the old lever out but eventually I suceeded
