It would appear that I have become victim to the infamous coolant tank split/leaking issue on my 2000 Base Model 986. I have read the article on how to remove your coolant overflow tank (see below link.)

The article indicates you need to raise the vehicle and remove cross members/protection plates/misc parts from the bottom of the vehicle to remove the overflow tank.
Has anyone here been able to remove the tank any other way? I ask because looking at a photo of a new overflow tank. (See attached Photo.) It would appear that the only thing keeping the coolant tank in place are three ten mm bolts, three hoses kept in place by pressure fittings and the oil filler hose (see black hose with O ring.)
Can the overflow tank be replaced without raising the vehicle and accessing the engine compartment>
