Hello from a new member in Seattle, WA!

Welcome! The people here are very nice and helpful. They've helped me answer many questions that I've had about my car. Plus they always have something interesting to talk about!

my dad's family had a 200 person family reunion in the end of july
now i live somewhere warmer and less rainy :)
that's quite a nice group drive you guys organized- where did you guys meet each other?

ppbb has a us/international following, there is also a boxster racing board (i don't have the new url handy) and www.renntech.org (for technical questions) if you have time to check out more boards

Hi Jody...welcome...you just missed Boxsterfest in Lake Tahoe...I flew down, but next time plan on driving, and will likely caravan down with a few other Babblers from Oregon, if they can make it...we'll let you know if we get something organized next time...you'll be welcome to join us.:)

Not quite as true as it once was. We now serve quite a large audience with quite few members that reside in the Pacific Northwest. :p

Heck, even the administrator now lives in Indiana. :eek:

As an added bonus, one can come back to the forum after a couple of hours and not feel like they've missed a few hundred postings! :rolleyes:

i would love to consider boxsterfest! hopefully, i'll take some vacation time from work. i'll get the hubby to go by agreeing to go to his 911 fest! :)

do many members post pictures here? i'd LOVE to see some of your beautiful boxsters!

and steve...lucky you! we were considering moving to oahu next year. we've had our pets microchipped and ready to go. not sure yet if we'll go, but just a thought. we LOVE it there. are you in oahu? how long have you lived in Hawaii now?

Wow that would be cool living Oahu. Kev & I have a place at Ko Olina Beach Club (West side of Island) We were just there for the last 2 weeks of September on vacation. We have thought about living there too! Nice Porsche dealer in Honolulu.

Boxster Racing Board is http://boxcar-racing.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0

There are way too many other boards like Cayman Club (a form of Boxster :eek: ), 6 Speed, Rennteam, 986Forum. One of my favorites is Rennlist although the Boxster content is dead there. A lot of 911 traffic over there (especially 996) and most of the Boxster is a 911.

The most personable/friendly, though, is Babblers :)

And, finally, a rare picture. (Somehow, arena red sticks out like a sore thumb...)

No problem There is always another time. Yes, I know about that Disney Hotel. Not sure if I want it or not.
I would be happy to invite you and your family out to Ko Olina next time. Kevin my husband is now Scuba certified. I freaked out trying. Maybe I will try again. One of my favorite places is Kailua Beach Park on the Windward side of the Island, it has a gorgeous white powder sandy beach. And I like having a drink/lunch at Buzz's. Also, Kona Brewery is another place that I like for a beer. If anything we could at least buy you a beer.

I have had a Boxster for a little over a year now, up here on the island we have an active group of members and manage to get out often.

This past summer my wife and I made the drive to Porsche Parade in San Diego and met a lot of great people, and even a few from the Northwest. It was quite the experiance, and a lot of activities including autocross. I have yet to try one but may next year, for now driving the car and participating in the occasional DE event has kept me busy.

Next year we might try to make it to one of the 'wine tours' in Washington state, I hear that they are a great drive too!

i am phobic of sharks, so i probably wouldn't do good at scuba either :) i work in kaneohe, so i am always on the windward side
we had a huge rain last weekend and kailua beach park got really flooded
i live in niu valley, so i am minutes from kona brewing co

Great to see another NW in this list. I got my Silver 07 Boxster S in June. Fantastic car. I drive it everywhere and I have taken it to the track.

Im sure we will meet up some day at an evet.

Pic looks like Bremerton for a PNWR autox. Correct? I think I saw you there at an event. Recognize the helmet. Hope to see you there in 2008 running full autox season....
