Remember this post a few weeks ago? http://www.babblers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9880 Well this time We did it. Actually it's for my son-in law. He's been asking me to find one for him for the last several months. This is his 1st Porsche and a big step from his Honda Civic from high school. A little background on my son-in law. He's a young Doctor who is just starting his Carreer and family. He's been driving his Honda Civic since high School and thru college and Medical school. He is now a pround owner of a Orient Red Mettallic 2003 Boxster S. Here's some highlights from the ad.

6 Speed Manual Transmission, Gorgeous Orient Red exterior with a Grey interior and Black Top - low mileage
(47,500 miles)
heated leather seats
upgraded steering wheel with Porsche emblem
upgraded wheels with Porsche emblem
On Board computer
Xenon headlamps and headlight washers
Sport Classic Wheels

Will try to post pic later today.

Congrats!

If he wants to upgrade to the gt3 bumper let me know and I will take the 03' 986 S bumper off his hands.

Sounds like a great car. We need to get your son-in-law to bring his new car to the next event. Looking forward to the pics.

After posting this post I went out to the garage to detail the car. Well, the interior is so clean I didn't have anything to detail. Here's some pics I just snapped.

The previous owner was a die hard car ethusiast. He owned 6 cars, 2 homes and one of them has a 10 car garage. 2 of the cars were show cars and 1was a 70 Plymouth Superbird. The boxster S was their 2nd Boxster they owned.

Very nice, and welcome aboard. Now good luck keeping those wheels clean.:D

That is a great story Efren, it sounds like his Boxster is deffinately well deserved.

I'm a little disappointed at you though. You said you detailed it for him, but looking at the picture there is rust on the rear brake disc! As any Porsche nut knows, the only way to clean that is to drive it off!!!! : ) Now finish the job right and get those rusty disk clean!

Darn. You noticed that. The rust is probably just from when I washed it and haven't driven it since Saturday.

Here's more pics. The first one is the real owner of the car. He's the reason I go to Manhattan Beach every chance I have which is 2 times a month as a minimum. The last picture is my daughter and son in-law together in the Boxster for the first time. My daughter loved it. I think they will be a Porsche family in the future.
