AMAZING car! I love it! Drove it home from FL yesterday and washed her as soon as I pulled in the drive.

It's a 2001. Just rolled over 29,000 miles on the way home. One question. It's needing waxed. Any preferred wax I should use? Thanks.

very nice ride. congrats. i see clear side markers in your future. :D

lots of good wax products.....i prefer zaino

hey blood...nice ride! you are a one lucky guy :)

clear markers are the one to use replacing that orange thingy on the side of the bumper..i

if you read the comment "de amberized your box" more than once, dont feel bad..we all went thru that...it's what you called removing all the amber color of your lights. (headlight, brake lights and side marker)

headlight - done (if you want amber color headlight, i got a set for you..hehehehe, j/k)
brakelight - nope
side marker - nope

when it comes to wax, most people preffer Zaino but I haven't try it yet. what I got is the Griots product w/c my wife gave me last Fathers Day as a gift. I like it, use it once already on the dirty truck that I bought and it turns out really, really, really, good!

Where do you guys buy the clear side markers? and How much?

I see a pink jeep wrangler..LOL :)

Thanks for the help guys. I'm fairly sure my headlights are already done. My uncle mentioned that they were factory upgraded and was a big option. Where can I find the tail lights and blinkers?

Oh and yeah I have two girls. So they rock the pink Wrangler. I prefer my Patriot Blue one. :D

Congrats! It does look like you have Litronics, you can tell by the little washer thingies. I actually hit the washer stalk by accident for the first time in 6 years.:o Put a nice bunch of washer fluid down my freshly cleaned fenders. Fortunately, it was about 100 degrees and I was cruising at 95, so it didn't stay around long. :D

I prefer P21S products for detailing, but you can't beat Rejex for ease of use.

Can someone help me figure out how to turn off the passanger side airbag? The girls want to go for a ride but I have to do that first.

Hello, BloodThirsty. Welcome and congratulations! That's a beautiful car you got. Drive it in good health!

I like Collinite wax products. I have used their Sapphire Prewax Cleaner (No. 840) and their Super Doublecoat Auto Wax (No. 476s) with excellent results. Someday I would like to try their Marque D'Elegance (No. 915), too.

Since the Collinite is a hard carnuba wax, I use a complementary detailing spray for upkeep. The one I like is Sonus Carnauba Spritz.

Another Sonus product I swear by is Sonus Cockpit Detailer. It works on leather, vinyl and other common cabin surfaces; it leaves an elegant satin finish (no greasy, glossy mess); and it has a pleasant, inoffensive scent that vanishes quickly. Magnifico!

Regards,

Snaxster

i think there is a switch that a dealer has to install........could be wrong. but for my 987, my reading of the owners manual says that the key switch and the warning light are not installed at the factory and must be retrofitted by your dealer.

You will need to have the dealer install the Airbag Deactivation Bar. It fits under the front of the passenger seat and has a special buckle that hooks to the child seat in order to disable it.

When my grandson got old enough to no longer need the seat I removed the buckle and just plugged that in directly. If you don't need to buy a seat then you can make something that resembles the buckle to plug in. A regular buckle won't work as the tang portion has a slightly different shape.

Wow, Blood! You have the exact same color car as I do (inside and out), which I have never seen a second one around San Francisco yet. Mines is also a 2001 base model, and similarly, I have a silver color exterior paint with light gray top and gray interior! My rim size is also the turbo 18" type. I don't have the xenon clear headlight though. All I can say is "nice ride"! =D

Very nice. I think everyone else answered all the questions, and you already posted pics so kinda leaves me without much more to say. Welcome to club.
I knew I could come up with something.:D

Thanks for the help everybody. I'm sure I will be running into many questions in the near future. I will be sure to make this my first stop for any questions!
