Water behind the headrests...

Whenever it rains, water collects somewhere behind the headrests (mostly behind the passenger seat). While driving, I can hear how it runs back & forth behind the driver's seat and the passenger seat -- sounding like it's an inch deep. Since this is something that happened quite recently, I suspect there might be some drainage that's clogged. Any help appreciated, (it's a Box '98).

You are right that it's most likely a blocked drain. The probable culprit is the drain located under the clamshell. These have a tendency to be blocked by leaves or other small debris.

Open the clamshell at least half way and you can see the drain location near the door (one on each side.) If they are covered by leaves then clear it out and see if the drain runs free by pouring a glass of water in the area. If it's clogged then you will need to snake something down there but be careful not to damage the tube. If you have compressed air then that can also be utilized as well.

I assume this is with the soft top on and not a hardtop correct? If so there are two drain ports that I've notice (one on either side) in the chamber where the soft top stores. With the softop up begin to retract the top so that the u shaped body panel lifts up to about 45 degrees. Next go around to the side of the car and look into the compartment. There should be a nickel sized drain port to either side in the foam lined chamber where to frame of your softop fits when retracted. Check to see if there is anything blocking these ports. I'm sure someone else will come along and have a better description of what to look for. Get this fixed fast because standing water under your seats will cause fried ciruitry.
