Since I got my '03 Boxster 3 weeks ago I have been trying to come up with a good name on the plates. I thought I had a good one with my name and box but my wife refused to get in the car if I did:mad:

Anyway since we are from all parts of the country I thought members could give me some ideas that would fit and maybe use what they have from another state or country.

Thanks
Ruby

Hello, Ruby. Sorry about the spousal veto. ;)

I think there are Babblers from all over the world, not just the U.S. But here are a few Boxster vanity plates I made especially for the current recession. These would work in any part of the U.S., I bet.

From most to least friendly, they are:

If you try one of those, please post a photo and let us know how it goes. :D

Best,

I'd be shocked if that wasn't taken. Maybe something witty like RUBY2S would be available.

I've wasted a few hours at the DMV website testing out custom plate ideas too. Since my first name is Jeremy I tried incorporating that in... JINABOX I think that was taken. After thinking up that one, a certain SNL skit came to mind and inspired DKNABOX, DCKNBOX, etc... Hilarious but not something I'd ever pay to display on my car.

Keep brainstorming, Ruby!

Here is what I plan to use:

NVR2LA8

It comes from a tee shirt I got at the 89 Parade that said, "Its never too late to have a happy childhood" with a 911 picture under it.

License Plates

Thanks for the suggestions and I like some of them. I'm getting names from a lot os sources now from my kids (all grown and want to borrow my box) to firends at work.

I have also sat on the DMV site (New York) and sure I'll come up with something catchy like "PAID4". Actually just thought of that and kind of like it as well as the prior one mentioned SOLVENT.

This isn't really a license plate, but rather the frame. I saw nice red Mercedes Benz 500 SL and the frame said "My friends all drive Porsches" I tried to get PORTIA here in Nevada since I was an English teacher (Merchant of Venice and Julius Caesar) but it was taken. Then I wanted SCHNELL, but no luck either. Jeanne T

It also depends on how many characters you get. Here in CA, I have enough for my initials plus a descriptor. I've got AJ BXTR and AJ CAYEN. Not very original, but you know me when ya see me on the road.
