So, what should be the spec for the alignment? (camber and toe)

I am going to have Sportech to do the alignment tomorrow, and 90K service.

Maybe I should just do the factory spec, and be done with it.

clemson, I would put a bit of negative like maybe -.5* up front and -1* in the rear and put toe at zero for a street car.

you can't get a lot of negative up front in a stock ride height, stock suspension Boxster....
IIRC, about -.8* is just about the max up front....and you would like to keep the delta front to rear about .5* regardless of what you have....set the front first and then adjust the rear to be no more than -.5* additional.
but the numbers I gave you should be nice for tire wear, street driving and an occasional AX...:D

just use the spec box and don't worry about it;)

Actually my street car has Bilstein Sport and H&R Springs (from my Spec donor car).

I am planning to use the SpecBox for the Mid-Engine event... Jun 12/13.

... there might be a possibility that I will help in the AX school this year. Race car has no passenger seat. So I would have to use the StreetBox.

Of course, I know I am not qualify to teach anybody in AX. But I just want to keep my StreetBox in a good shape just in case.

if you have that set up on your street box, then you could go to something like -1 front and -1.5 rear....you would get better turn in at the AXs and tire wear would still be decent.
I ran -1.3 and -1.8 on my Box for 5 years and had no tire wear problems, and it turned very nicely for a street car.

I went with about -.75 up front and similar in rear with my street car. Hey my specs havent changed much at all. Thats what I run on the race car too!

However race car has some toe out. I'd stay with 0 toe on street car even if you think you will run a few AX's. Leave the crazy alignment settings for your Spec car!

Hmmm... Since the car has the h&r springs... Mark can only reduced the rear camber to -2 (nothing less).

nothing wrong with that Clemson...
just match up the front....so what did you settle on with the alignment?

Currently -0.8 in the front, and -2.0 in the rear.
Mark told me that he can modify the top of the rear, so I can run less negative.
He is really nice that I can bring it back to him to check and re-adjust within 6 months. I know it should be ok for now. I'll act on it slowly.

I was actually thinking about Andrew's tarret top, what do you think?
(not Carrot Top) :D
