Hello all
I am trying to replace a light on my boxster s. I have a problem removing the headlight . I was succesfull on the right side however on th driver side, the tool keeps rotating loose. It seems like the mechanism is damage.
Any suggestions ?

Are you sure you are putting the tool into the right hole? Recall there are two adjustment holes and one removal one on each side.

If you checked what Mike said to do, that maybe the problem and resolved by now. However, Kevin & I live close by you and so does BoxsterBob and Joanie, we could try to help assist you on this.

We just saw you both yesterday at Rocky Point, did you have a light out then?

Hi Mike
I am doing it correctly it seems that the mechanism is damaged and I have to PUSH hard to actually turn. I have managed to un-lock it . Everything seems ok now. Thank you for your help (sorry I am still learning English terminology for cars, in Romania we use words of French origin)

p.s.
thank you DeDe . saw the pictures . Cosana uploaded ours :D

LED Eyelashes on my Boxter

After a little bit of work (around 1h) and a pair of this LED strips, my Boxster has an unique look.

Wow, Antonio...had no idea you were doing this. I would like to look into this myself for my car. I saw the link you posted. Was it hard to install the LED strips?
Very unique look for your car!

not that hard. those leds come with a strong adesive tape. you need to do a little bit of soldering. it is really super simple. I've got a lot of attention ;)

We need to do a DIY car care day/hack day for this. Fantastic! :)
very cool, I want attention too! lol

however....

I need to find a way to repair that mechanism. Here is the thing, when I insert the tool it turns loose if I don't apply a lot a force. With the headlight out I can see that (16) is not rotating, the 1/4 needed. It seems that the problem is with (20) however I don't understand why...
Now the headlight is back and secured.... until next time...

anyone encountered something similar ? do I have to change the entire mechanism? thank you
