The wife -- love her, I really do :) -- took a friend to dinner and was a little late on hitting the brakes when parking in front of a curb in our 2006 S. The result is some pretty nice scrapes on the under side of the front spoiler and some visible scrapes on the very bottom edge of the front of the spoiler. I know it's minor and it could happen again, but I've managed to go quite awhile without any scrapes or dents and it's not a daily driver. Part of me says to let it go, but it irks the other part quite a bit. :(

I live in the DC-metro area and there are a couple of plastic bumper-fixer guys (for lack of a better description) who come to your home, apply filler, sand, buff and paint. A friend of mine had one outfit fix a similar issue on his M3 coupe and it looks great. Anyone have any experience with these types of outfits? It seems rather minor for a body shop. The only visible work (other than the underside) would be three one inch high by six inch long areas on the front of the spoiler. Yes, it bothers me. :)

Sorry to hear about the mishap. Post a few pics and you are likely to get better suggestions as to what course of action (or inaction) to take.

Here are some photos. As the last photo demonstrates, the scratches aren't that noticeable...but it irks me nonetheless. :)

I used to work at HBL in Tysons and they have a guy who does really great work. I don't think he'll come to your house because he stays so busy at the dealership. He does all the audis, porsches, mercedes, aston martins, maybachs, smart cars, and used cars. His prices are pretty reasonable as well. Just swing by the dealer and they should be able to get you an estimate pretty quickly.
