1997 Porsche Boxster Possibly for Sale

Hello All,

I really hate to do this, but I might be putting my Boxster up available for sale.

I have a Clean Title, 5 Speed, 1997 Porsche Boxster for sale.
I've only put on 6k miles since I purchased it a few years ago. Now it has 88k miles.
Comes with the Sport Touring Package which includes:
* Optional 17" Boxster Design Wheels and Tires
* Cruise Control
* Hi-Fi Sound System
* Remote Controlled Alarm System
* On Board Computer
* Remote CD Changer
* Stainless Steel Door Sills
* Arctic Silver Painted Roll Bar
* Aluminum Look Instrument Dials
* Aluminum/Leather Gear Shift Knob and Hand Brake Grip
* Wider Exhaust Pipe

It has had the 90k maintenance done early, excellent top condition, and new top cables.

I'm letting it go for cheap because I am going out of the country and won't be around to drive the car. If I don't sell it, then I will keep the car until I come back in the future and most likely will not want to sell the car anymore.


Again, I'm asking for $13,000 FIRM -- THIS MONTH ONLY ---.
If you're a Babbler, then I'll probably throw in some goodies.

Your car color makes me think of Bora Bora


The almost surreal colors of these sparkling waters in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.


Fabulous is the water, whose color changes every few feet – an improbable pale green to blue, turquoise and then deep blue – and the many-hued butterfly fish that you meet while swimming.

No, I don't really want to sell my car, but I will be travelling and I won't be driving the Boxster much for a little while. Actually, I haven't driven it much since I've owned it. A few years ago, I bought it with about 82k miles. Now it has 88k miles. As much as I love my Porsche, I'm afraid it has become my "garage queen". I'll admit that I love to look at it and so do other on lookers and passer byers, but I bought the car to drive and have fun. So my pain is someone else's gain.

Is it me or is this car for sale every other month or so?

no it is not you, car has been up for sale before. I think last time April 2007.

You're right. I posted it for sale before. Then circumstances changed and I decided to keep it. Life goes through changes and down windy roads all the time. I'm posting it up available for sale (maybe accountants understand my terminology) because I will be going away for a while and won't be able to enjoy the car. If I sell it before the end of the month, then I'll sell it for my asking price. Otherwise, if I don't then I'll keep it and you guys will see the car for years to come.

Dedes - I'll see if I can make it to the drive. I'll be preparing to travel, but if I still have the car and if I can squeeze it in, I'd like to see everyone!

Hey, if you need someone to give your car a periodic RnR while you are away, let me know .

It is a very nice color, and appears to have been maintained well (I think I spot Gunther sitting in his office in one of the pics - probably from a car care day). Good luck with everything!

This beautiful Boxster is now SOLD.

Good news is that the car is still in the San Francisco Bay Area and the new owner has the same name as me! What a coincidence!
