You might want to say exactly what you think a fair offer is. There was a string here a while back which discussed what the fair-market value would be for a 97 with 82K, and there was a large amount of debate.

You should also go look at the recent pricing discussions on porsche pete's boxster board, www.ppbb.com, where people have noted that they are having trouble selling 40K '97s for over $18,000.

Over the past 90 days, on some auction site you may have heard of, the average successful auction price of '97 and '98 boxsters with under 50K is $17,400. Some of those had very, very low miles.

What you think is a fair offer might not be what other people do, and it saves everyone time to know where you want to start.
