Hi all,

David Trounce here. I used to be an active member of the Babblers way back, but have had to re-register with my new email address.

So, I'm selling my 2000 Boxster 2.7.

* Arctic silver exterior
* Graphite gray interior
* Black convertible top
* 17 inch Boxster design alloy wheels
* Heated seats
* Sport package (hi-fi sound w/ speakers, windstop, cruise control, AM/FM radio w/ CD player in dash, remote alarm system)
* CD shelf in dash
* Black floor mats
* Delete model designation

Note that MY2000 cars have substantial improvements over MY99 and prior (larger 2.7 engine, upgraded interior, e-gas, etc.).

Only one owner, and well looked-after: never taken outside of California, garaged 5 years out of 8, with all maintenance by local Porsche dealers (all records available). California DMV registration is paid through to 10/2008. This car has been wonderful fun, but I'm selling as I'm finally upgrading to a 911.

For details and a picture are available at http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=233934189&dealer_id=61522681&reset_crumbs=y)

Also I've now got a SharkWorks TouchTop (for 986 Boxster) for sale. This plugs into the convertible top switch, and allows you to open and close the top with a single push, rather than having to hold it down.

Full details are at http://www.autoatlanta.com/model/986catalog/986.33.html. See http://www.autoatlanta.com/tech/touchtop.html for installation details - it really is a 5 minute install with no tools, and can come right out again if need be.

Combining this with the speed control hack (bend one pin over on the convertible top relay) allows you to open and close the top while driving a 986 with one push. I have used this all the time the past 8 years - it's great!

Auto Atlanta is selling these for $328.90. Mine is for sale for $100 or best offer - any interest? I'm around the Stanford area if you want to pick it up.

Cheers,
David

Both car and the touchtop are now sold (both at asking price)

Cheers,
David

Glad you sold your car

I'm finally upgrading to a 911.
IMNSHO that's a downgrade.
The 911 has two major flaws and one big plus.
The big plus is the big displacement.
The two flaws are rear seats and the engine in the wrong place ;)
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro
