Hello

Hello..I'm new to Babblers, and new to Boxsters. Today I bought my first Boxster, a 2005 base model, guards red with black. I bought it at Isringhausen in Springfield, IL. It was a leased car and came from an Evansville, Indiana dealer and its po was a doctor from Harrisburg, IL.

I am a 914 enthusiast from long ago. I bought my first Porsche new in 1974 from Carrousel P/A in suburban Minneapolis. (I still have the 914). That 914 has been a dedicated PCA DE car for the last 18 years.

I am looking forward to using this car as a daily driver for the next several years, and hope to do at least a few DE's with the car to find out "what it can do."

Look forward to all of the things I will learn here on this sight. Thanks for having me as part of your "club."

you will really enjoy the Boxster as a daily driver, and it isn't too shabby on the track either.

I just sold my Phoenix Red 2056 914 about a month ago.

the other pic is me in my '99 at Buttonwillow raceway about 3 years ago...car was stock other than a set of Dunlop SSRs. Had a great time with my buddy in the 2.7RS Carrera. He was a bit faster in the straights and I was a lot faster in the corners.

I will use my 914 for AX, DE... and keep the boxster as a daily driver.
