I'll let others go into the specifics of today's wonderful Mt. Diablo event. I just wanted to say a very big thank you to Dedes who organized the event. What started as a simple question on the board turned into a fantastic day for all. I hope all who attended will join me in again giving a BIG thanks to Dedes for suggesting this event, putting so much work into organizing it, and pulling it off so well. Thanks again Dedes. :)

Thanks, Dedes. Was great meeting all of you for the first time. Kimberlie and I had a very nice time.
And thanks to Tom , as well. Great prizes.

Thank you Dedes.....Job Well Done!!! It was a pleasure meeting you and all the other great folks I had a chance to meet. Looking forward to the next outing. Thanks again for the well organized fun drive.

Thank you! Thank you!

You all are great! Thanks for all the special words of thanks. It was my pleasure to organize the drive to Mt. Diablo Summit. And a very special thanks for all the goodies from Tom Morris, Our Babblers Adminstrator. :)

Just got back around 5pm. On the way home Kev & I stopped at "Buffalo Bills" in Hayward for a cold beer with Paralizer(Larry & Sandy), River Rat (Don & Kimberlie), and Ron Leppke.

Ron who lives in Hayward, went home near by and downloaded his photos on his computer for all of us to see the days photos. Ron will be posting them asap. Thanks so much Ron!

I am a bit sun burnt, feels good though.

I second that. Thank you Dedes for the event, and thank you Tom for providing a place, ie Babblers, that makes such events possible.

What a great group of folks. Glad to be a part of it all.

A really outstanding event! Thanks to Dedes and Tom.

I agree with Akif! it was an awesome event, a very friendly, cool people...can't wait for one more and come to think of it, it's only Spring :)

I saw Akif flying in the freway on the way home...I thought it was a black jet, flying low..hehehehehehe!

Thanks for the pix....Can I save it and have a professional camera store print and frame it (Walgreens) ?

me speeding?? :o

ok - maybe once or twice in my life... or was it once or twice everytime I take the car out? I always get confused about which one it is :D

Although, everyone should be extra careful these days. As the thread on CHP activity stated, there are just way too many cops out these days. I went to SFO today, and passed a Sherrif's car on 238 (we were all doing 40ish due to traffic), and saw multiple cops around the San Mateo bridge. One on the East side 1/2 mile before the toll plaza, a bike cop in one of those emergency parking area on the bridge - right after the high rise going eastwards, and another on at the end as you get into Foster City.

Not today, but recently, I've also seen a cop hiding under the Foster City Blvd bridge - he caught a Dodge Charger while I was going along. Lately I pretty much see 2 - 3 cops everytime I go out - even for really short drives.

As a wise person once said, ... this too shall pass ...
