We will just be missing each other. I'm arriving in Honolulu on May 22 but fly out for the Big island on May 23. Flying back to Honolulu on May 26 and staying there till May 31.

Steve (macsac) let's try to hook up during that week.

After doing some quick poking around it looks like Lassen wouldn't be an option until June/July. I've sent an e-mail over to the Drakesbad Guest Ranch (the place to stay) asking for advice.

It looks like quite the trip after planning it out on Google maps. Approximately 250 miles of twisty roads spread over two days. Just under 600 miles round trip. This ain't gonna be your Grandma's idea of a road trip!:D

Assuming we can get lodging at the Drakesbad Guest Ranch the trip would cost a little bit more than $200 per person + gas. I'm not sure which month would be best for such a venture, but I will be careful to avoid major events like Porsche Parade.

Quick show of hands, who would be interested in partaking?

I will be away June 7-20th. Not sure if I want to take a few days in that direction. If it is up by Eagle Lake north of Reno...that is a long trip.
I have been there. It would be a fantastic drive though.... the roads are pretty awesome. Check the weather temperatures for June/July....could be hot for summertime. Sacramento/Reno folks might be interested.
I would go ahead and post your trip on the Babblers calendar and see if you get enough interest, so you can book hotels in time, etc. (You can always cancel if need too.) Good job Jeremy! :)

Per my current plans, there is a good possibility of me being away for a good part of May and early June (and work catchup till mid/late june).

Who knows? But as long as it is, I think those of us from the appropriate gene pool will thank The Rat for his contribution to this thread. :D
