C'mon March 08'

1lbs=-1 second???? if that is the case, I will strip my car down, wear a tupperware instead of a helment and dress only wearing a loin cloth... that should be good for at least 5 seconds... yeah!

This should be pretty entertaining to watch at a AX. LOL
Now more people will definitely show up just to watch you & Gerry!
Be sure to video tape the day.

I guess i need to wake up my boxster too..been sitting in the garage for a few wks now..hahahha

Welcome to another Sacramento Valley member. There's a fairly large contingent out that way now! Be sure to post your location on the Googlemap using the link at the top of the page ;)

Correction Dede...Ray and I will be banned for life to any PCA events if we showed up with tupperware and loin cloth :D:D:D

I agree dave...both of us are missing in action...hahahahaha!

flyboy....

we use Marina, but it's the 'white' tarmac area due south of runway 29. You'll see a dark building on the NW corner with "Hiller" on the top. Ever flown one of those?

Hope to see you at Alameda, which has traditionally been a great spot (again, a tarmac area), but we've been moved to the runway - so we'll see how it goes.... anyway, come on out and take a whack at it.

thanks kj , will make every effort to make it there. luckily I have a friend that lives in seaside. makes it even better deal.

Yo Gerry!

Dude I got my leak fixed and should be getting some new rubber soon....I should be able to make it!:D

Hmmm Marina Airport? Sounds tempting, could make for a good day with the lady. Go watch Auto-X in morning and hit up the Aquarium afters,I'm happy and shes happy. 6-hours back and forth with the top down................

Now you're thinking :D

the good news is, I earned lots of extra points last weekend that's good till the end of summer and probably fall, but that could be a stretch :D Trying to get everything done and hopefully we could move by the end of this month and get settled just in time for the first AX ;)

Are you thinking Marina Airport as in Monterey? I believe you have the venue confused, the first a/x is March 15 in Alameda. (I don't think there are any aquariums there) and from Sac at most is a 1.5 hour drive. I hope you can still make it. If you really want her to have fun, have her participate many couples will share a car since the day is usually split. You either drive in the am and work the track in the afternoon or vice versa. There are lots of ladies that compete and they are very fast. Gerri is one of them! hahaha just kidding Gerri : P

GGR usually has 3 run groups. Red, Blue, Green.
each of these groups, runs, works and rests in the AM. and then each runs, works, rests in the PM.
You may stay only for the AM or you can come at ~12pm and participate in the PM.
we usually get at least 4 runs Am and 4 runs PM....sometimes more depending on the overall turn out and the length of the course.

If we have a smaller turn out then we only run two run groups with the same format as above, just get 12 or more runs instead of 8.

In the afternoon if we get done early enough with timed runs, then we go to fun runs.

and yes, the first event is at Alameda. we don't go to Marina until August 2.

Directions:
http://www.pca-ggr.org/node/161

Follow the sign to "S. 880/ San Jose/ Alameda". After 3 miles, take the "Broadway/ Alameda" exit, and merge into the right lane. Turn right at the light onto 5th St., and follow for 1 mile, merging into the left lane. Take "Webster Street Tube" into Alameda. Follow Webster St. to W. Atlantic Ave. (1st light), and turn right. Follow Atlantic Ave. for 1 mile and then turn right onto Main Street. Follow Main St. around the south and west sides of the former Naval Air Station and you will just about dead-end into the gate for our new autocross site (do not turn left into the base when you reach the end of Main St.
