Packing up the Boxster in the morning for a trip up to Murphys to see Sammy Hagar at Ironstone Winery. We'll be staying at the Cottages at La Honda, but looking forward to some Hwy 4 driving this weekend. Let's hope the forecast for dry lightning doesn't come true. I'm sure there will be a pic or two. :)
 
Have fun and get a jaw massage after a day of permagrin!:D
 
We had a great trip, my only problem was my car looked like Pig-Pen all weekend. I washed it Friday morning and had great drive up highway 4. We had an Infinity G35 as a cruising partner most of the ride. When we arrived, our cottage in Murphys was at the end of a dirt road, which was fine until the monsoonal thunder and lightning show! The rain wasn't heavy enough to rinse the car off, but rather cover the entire car with mud dots.

We did the 137 mile trip each way in 135 minutes. :D
 
I heard a rumor about someone driving around with a dirty Boxster. :D

To tell you the truth, the car was so dirty, I didn’t take any pictures of the car. :( I took this when I got home Sunday night, right before I washed it in the dark!

We're on a road trip too with George and Carol and John P and his wife headed for Flagstaff. We're currently in Kingman, Az for the night. Clocked 600 miles yesterday.

Today we head for Flagstaff via Route 66. Looking forward tothis drive.

Porsche escape here we come.
1st picture was our first stop at hwy 152, Barstow and road approaching Needles and Kingman, Az.

Did you stop at Mr. D's Diner on Route 66 in Kingman for the best chicken fried steak and eggs in the West?

We made it to Little America resort in Flagstaff.

I'll start another thread and post more pictures instead of hijacking Bob's post.

We got here safely Bob. Les joined us late last night.

Offshore, no we didn't. Ended up eating at a local favorite Italian. Really nice and friendly place and we all would recommend this place.
