Mt. Diablo drive/tour soon anyone?

when we're done finalizing the staging area/meeting point, can someone give me the actual street address so i could have Bob's U2 Spy plane pin point me the location turn by turns...Thanks :)

Once everyone has submitted their suggestions, meeting places etc. Details with addresses will follow. There is plenty of time still.
Just pack your lunch and bring the fun. Hope the day is a good one weather wise.

If you go to Google earth enter the intersection of Bridgepointe Circle and Fashion Island Blvd. and you will be right there. However just as easy from San Jose, 101 N to 92 E. Take the 1st exit off 92, Edgewater/Mariners Island Blvd., and turn right. Back up over the freeway to Fashion Island Blvd. and turn right. Two blocks and your at Bridgepointe. Can't miss it.:)

I was just looking for an open area for photo ops (I think that way:rolleyes: ). Who wants a bunch of Saturns and Suburbans picking up Starbucks, horning in on our Boxster gathering group shot? ;) But seriously, wherever is easiest. :)

Looks like this will turn out really good..im pretty excited now! Do I have to wash the Box that day for group photo ops...hehehehe :)

I will go along with your idea for the meeting place at the Skating Ring parking lot(Bridgepointe) for photos If anyone arrives early they can go over to Starbucks and get a coffee on their own.

yap mine too! is there an easiest way to remove stone chips in the bumper or front hood beside replacing it..hehehehe, j/k! Im bringing my camera and my $5 tripod with four legs to take group picture of the owners and the Box...So if there's any camera shy there, speak up now or forever be plastered in the "Babbler's Album"..ahahahahahaha! :)
 
Will it be okay when we have all the group together during lunch picnic to use that opportunity to announce our next road trip to PCH 1 Carmel/Big Sur? or too early?

Also, I like Tom M suggested to enter at the southgate entrance and exit out of the northgate entrance. For the people coming from the North (Sacramento area) like Blinkwatt meet at the southgate and exit out from northgate and then your are in the direction for home.

If I may offer another suggestion. Have the East Bay and Sacramento drivers gather at the Blackhawk Automotive Museum. There is a good sized parking lot there as part of the adjacent shopping center, it's easy to find (access off of 680), and it's a quick drive from there to the southern entrance of Mt. Diablo.
 
Ok, now i have an incentive to fix my battery..my car has been sitting in the garage for the past weeks since the battery is dead and mostly due to lack of driving...i just zainoed my car a few wks ago and hasn't seen rain yet so i guess i am good to go...look fwd to seeing you all soon..

How far are you from Walnut Creek? If Walnut Creek has become the staging area, would you be able to meet us there?

I'm only a hour out from Walnut Creek,probably a little less with my driving habits . I could work with a Walnut Creek meeting point.

I can meet up at the Blackhawk Car place or a Walnut Creek meet up point,I just need the Walnut Creek address to meet up at.
 
I am running part of the route tomorrow to check roads across the bay and San Ramon as a meeting place. As far as Walnut Creek.........just down the freeway is San Ramon then we would head into the southgate entrance to Mt. Diablo. You could exit out the northgate towards home at the end of the tour. I will be listing all the meeting places, times, details for everyone. Just google the address for yourself when the time comes.
