Was the install difficult and where did ya' get it?

Cool. Looks nice.

It looks like the pics are taken with the spoiler extended. Any pics with it in the unextended mode?

I will be interested in the high speed rear stability of that spoiler since you have removed the flat (vertical) portion of the stock spoiler...
seems it would give less down force at speed. and with the sloping rear of the Boxster (just like 911s and Audi TTs) you need down force at higher speeds to keep the rear planted,

your observations after some miles will be interesting.

I sure does look nice.:)

Very nice pics Dede - nice and curvy road as well ;)

The spoiler looks cool, but I do share Dan's concern about the downforce at high speed. For instance, I know that the Audi TT originally didn't have a rear spoiler, which caused issues at high speed, and iirc resulted in a recall so that spoilers could be fitted on all of them.

That said, I'd guess that it would only be an issue at high speeds.... perhaps over 75mph, since that is the factory setup, but then again you'd be speeding if you did that out here... and we all know you don't speed ;)

Comment from my husband:
Didn't consider it hard to install but the directions were a little lacking. For instance, after removing the plastic plugs, they didn't say how to remove the painted wing cap. (It snaps on like a plastic lid to keep your canned spam fresh) And then you remove the two top screws that hold the board to the posts. The most tedious thing was screwing the new wing on thru the new wings access holes. It was hard to get the screw started and we could only crank the bolt about a quarter of a turn each time. (Care must be taken not to lean on the wing or drop tools)

Here are their pics:

Do I speed????:D I guess if I ever go on the track, which I don't.
I still have the other spoiler.

Thanks for the heads up Bigb and Docdanracy.
I appreciate your concerns and feedback. :) I will be careful.

i think they ship you the painted ones and then you ship your old ones back to them. you are never without your bumpers...:)

I actually bought my never-to-be-installed painted headlight covers from them too... good quality fiberglas work and painting.

Your wing looks awesome! It must've added at least 10 HP. :-) Nice job!

And you know, if you need more downforce, you could always buy the Gemballa decklid wing I have sitting in my garage. :)

Like the look... its got that duck-tail thing going, esp in that first pic. I like this look better than the extended one, actually :)

Very nice!
I've been waiting to see it on the car.
Kevin had told me he was getting it for you back in October.
Happy Boxstering,
Pedro

Nice. Can't wait to see it in person. Now that you've slipped on the slippery slope of making mods... what's next after the bumperettes? Red tail lights?

Friends do keep secrets. :)
What else did he tell you? :D
I do have a long wish list.
