Redwood Region AX 03/06/2010

What a fun course...... I think maybe the best auto-x course I have experienced since it feels so much like a little race track. Cool pics Ron. I love that sinister looking grey rsr? Is that the 912 with a GT3 in it? Awesome!

Thanks hotrod I really had fun and the day turned out to be a top down day. Great video what type of camera and mount did you use?
 
the grey car is a highly modified 912 with a GT3 Cup motor....well over 450HP.
G50 trans with special gears, limited slip. CF brakes plus a lot more. It has been being built at Wevo for several years...lots of CF on the car, roof fenders, door skins etc.
Car has just been completed and is starting it's period of adjustments, shake downs etc...car is going to be entered in One Lap of America this year.:D
Owner is a GGR member and formerly AXed a RS clone with a 3.2L or 3.6L in it...
 
Wow,... that car looks and sounds insane. I want it! (wishful thinking)

Ron, the camera was just a canon powershot on video mode mounted on the rollbar with two sided sticky tape:) Its funny because now ive upped my equipment with a proper mount, but it really isnt any better:confused: Oh well. This is also the first day I met Chris Zang.... I know I have some footage of his car somewhere before he hot rodded it.
 
Hotrod I've got a window mount but can't use it in AX. I've taken video accelerating on deserted roads with a p&s mounted to try it out but the wind noise is what is distracting. There's a video camera made for racing (saw it on the net somewhere) that they claim doesn't have the wind noise.
 
guess the Prius driver never heard of putting the car in neutral, or engine braking mode....or just turn it off....:eek:;)

That's their old slogan, the new one is, "Toyota - Moving Forward" [with or without your permission]:eek:

I saw a recent commercial for some Toyota promotion and the closing image is; "Toyota - Moving Forward" to which they added, "Ends Soon". Who writes this stuff??:confused:
