Tech Event this Sat (10/27) at 10am

you got it R/R....

We're like...Robin Hood and the Men in Thights...ahahahahahaha!

OMG...with the conversation on this thread, do you guys really want me, river rat, dede and kev this weekends "tech event"? We won't be able to accomplish anything except to sit around, pop open the hood and pretend that there's an engine on it...hahahahahahaha!

Oh well its a tech session

get together! All those things technical like where's the beer, who's got the food, Dremel, Ohm meter and don't forget the lawn chairs. I am sure we will accomplish something especially when Gerry knows where the engine is... OMG. So Gerry since you brought up the food issue, what are you bringing? Kevin says Lucky's around the corner (if its still there) has some good deals on lunches. Remember you have to help the people that are chairing the event i.e. Bigb

does anyone have access to the durametric (?) computer to turn on the feature also I need to reset my airbag light : ) (I set it off because I took the passenger seat out) i know its a long shot... I will also bring a dremel tool and band aids : )

i might bring rotisserie chicken from Luckys or KFC (8-10 pcs.) someone has to bring the rice...gotta have rice, right, ray? hehehehehehe

Did anyone say "rice"? That will be me. Can't do without.

Wow, I haven't been paying attention to this thread. Looks like we'll have a great turnout. Looking forward to meeting all of you. Should I be preparing something?

There are a few people from over at renntech that might show up as well. Sounds like it is going to be a good turnout.

ok...so who's bringing what except tools....i think we have enought tools for that day..hehehehehehe!

hey cas...you're right this is going to be great turnout coz' that's how the babblers member rolls...yeyah! hahahahahaha!

can't wait to meet others too!

pot luck for the tech events?

Ya know, you guys would choose to do this when I'm out of town. Somebody better video this because this could be the best laugh of the year. But with beer, BBQ's, and dremel's I better make a few phone calls to some friends of mine and get them on standby. Since I'm not going to be around somebody is going to have to deal with aftermath of you Tim Taylor types.:D

So now we need to rename these events. How about pot-tech, or tech-pot, or tech-luck? :D Maybe tech-luck, as we'll need all the luck with our tech skills :)

Kevin & I are bringing some beer. Also, Kevin is planning on something, since he is the chef at my house. Not sure what it will be.
BTW, we could do the pin#18 hack. We did that one in Tahoe.

Hack - Pin#18

WOW...listen to her, want to do pin#18 hack....sounds so technical...hahahahahahahaha!

Gerry,
Do you need to do this hack? It is very cool. I know I can help you on this one. :D

Gerry, you might like this one if you haven't done it already.

Dede, I hope you guys didn't break/twist the pin - you can simply tape it up (making the process completely reversible). Electrical tape is too thick, regular cello/clear tape works best.

Larry, don't worry - we'll also schedule one once you are back (and we have made a complete recovery from this one :) )

Pin# 18 Hack -is to allow you to operate the top up or down while your driving under 20-25 mph.

See you at the Teck luck session

tomorrow! :)

Gerry, now be sure to read up on Hack Pin#18 beforehand :D

You know, you *could* just take care of that pesky airbag light WITH the Dremel. No need to find somebody with an outrageously expensive PST II, PIWIS, or Durametric. HAHAHA
