Well I finally ran out of excuses and found a really great deal on this 02 Lapis Blue 2.7 so I pulled the trigger.

It is absolute joy on wheels. My face hurts from grinning so much. :D

The car seems to have a knack for attracting attention from 1) Girls  and 2) Cops :(

I also have a 1965 356 C which I have owned for 20 years but don't drive very often - Its a garage/trailer queen. This boxster on the other hand is going to go >everywhere<.

The boxster needs Tires - Does anyone have any thoughts/opinions on the bf-goodrich G-Force series? I'm looking on tirereack.com but theres like 28 different choices.

Excited to be a part of the club,

Welcome!

I don't have any opinion on the G-Force series but I do on TireRack.com as they are a site sponsor :). I buy my tires there as they have a decent price and drop ship to the installers I use.

I don't normally do this but it seems like a reminder is needed from time to time. Should you decide to use them as your tire source it would be greatly appreciated if you use the link on the front page to do so as the referral fees are used to offset the cost of running the site.

I bought BF Goodridge.....dont like them, payed 650 for all 4 but they lack the gripping power of the OEM michellins:(

welcome. michelin Pilot Sport PS2's are the best i've had so far.

hey there all i became a member a couple months ago but i have been out of town... ya'll will probably be seeing me on here a lot cause i want to learn as much as i can about my car. just to give you my $.02 on this i had a 2004 GTO with the g-force NT (new tread) tires on it and they were the best handeling tires i have ever had on a car. i am thinking about replacing my nitto 555r's with the g-force NT. dont ask me why i had nitto's on it  they came with the car.

phish, i just noticed where you live. first of all, it is nice to see someone NOT from california on here, and secondly, i am originally from dayton. we go back there ever so often, and perhaps we can hook up sometime. ever do the dragon?

guilty as charged. i have yet to take the boxster on it tho i got some friends from dayton... well Rhea (sp) county and spring city area.

way too cool. next time we are back we will give a shout. maybe we can grab a bite to eat.

I highly recommend the BFG TA KD for our dry season. They're not great in the rain or winter but spectacular the rest of the year.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the competition has caught up with them. The AD07s from Yok and the 010Rs from BS are really awesome.

sounds good baxter, just send me a PM or somethin and let me know

you guys know you wish they all could be california girls.... =)

rubber?

My 2004 Boxster was certified by Stoddard here in OH with P Zeros by Pirelli. Even though Kumho is a client, I gotta say the P Zeros are sweet. Drove a few hours in heavy rain and I was impressed.

We did convert top Porsche teams away from Michelin due to better lap times and won our class at LeMans last year. First time ever a Porsche was on the podium at LeMans with Kumho rubber.

i would have to admit i have never been to Cali. the closest i have been is New Mexico and that was about 12 years ago lol. but other than Baxter who here has been to Tennessee? other than the fact that we have the best college football team there is, there is also some great roads here to cruise on
