Are you sure? Can someone double check b/c I think that site is double booked. I'm supposed to be taking the skills (riding) portion of the motorcycle safety class there on the 21/22.

Scott,
it is a big airstrip

I am sure there will be a specific area for the motorcycle guys to learn how to survive on the street:eek:

we only use about 20% of the whole thing.

Hmmn. I don't remember ever autoxing there that we didn't use the entire thing. There must be another large open space somewhere else on base. Are you guys still using the place that is surrounded on 3 sides by a battleship, view of the city, and industrial complex that includes a health club?

Nope. We moved to runway 25. Your event, however, may still be near the old tarmac location on the northern portion.

Ax4

Kaye and I are planning to be there. We had a really good time at AX3:D

Also - Beginner AX School on 6/15

The World Famous GGR AX School will run at Candlestick on 6/15. Check the GGR Website to see if there are still openings. The esteemed (steamed?) faculty includes a number of SCCA National champions and a larger number of locals who routinely beat the National Champions. Seriously, I can't think of better bunch of drivers to learn from.

If you've always wondered what autocross is all about or you've done a couple of events and want to get faster, this is one of the best places to learn.

Hey Scott,

Do you remember what pressures you used on the Hoosiers when you ran them? I just bought my first set - going to try them out on the 21st.

thanks,

kj

As frequently happens.... you lost me. Does that mean a new (to you) car?

kj

you are quicker than you think Ken...

yes I am looking at another car this afternoon hopefully....:D

and my wife has seen pics of it and she.........................likes it.

Hmmmm:rolleyes: very quiet around here...
not many Boxster pilots planning on being at the next event...
:confused::confused:

you don't have to be worried about being out run by the Puttputt any longer:D

I'll be there for my 2nd ever AutoX. The last one was so much fun that I can't let this one slip away!

Ah, I see we have another one hooked.;)

good for you...

where is Gerry hiding....and a few others.

I'll be there too!

Who is designing the course this time?

i'm in if chris cox or rob boynton are the course designers.

I am a bit put off as my results from the last event are missing. It only shows my first run. : (

I was fully expecting to place this year for AX-7, having already missed an even because of a conflicting SCCA event, that is already one drop. I expect I'll have to miss another event, so that'll be another drop, and as competitive as AX-7 is, I don't think that I can place anymore.

I have a new setup ready too, more front back, and more rear toe-IN.

whoa. really? I guess the rumors of the things that you were going to do to your car are not true then? hehe.

and what do Chris or Rob have to do with the course design that would encourage you to show?
:confused::confused::confused::confused:

You should contact the AX co-chairs about your results....something got left off of the spread sheet.

thanks, I shot them an email.

as for Chris and Rob, I've driven several of their courses and they are some of the best. Very flowing, fast, technical, with something for everyone, from miatas to high powered vettes, etc.

just all the more reason to come on out. : )

gee, lets see. A GT2 with tons of aftermarket go fast goodies and a GT3. I wonder why they would design fast open courses:confused::confused::confused::p

we do have a speed limit at Alameda of 55mph and the city can come turn the radar guns on us at any time...

so until that changes, our courses will not be as fast as we all might like...we do not want to lose this venue.

ok, maybe you read into that a lil much. all the courses that i've driven of theirs, I stay in second gear, which is plenty for me. they are just really flowing and smooth.
